Alexandra Burke wins the 'X Factor' crown. Alexandra Burke won the final of "The X Factor" on Saturday, scooping a one-million-pound recording contract and a path to stardom.
The 20-year-old singer broke down in tears and could barely speak after edging out four-piece vocal group JLS. Northern Irish teenager Eoghan Quigg came third.
"Thank-you for making my dreams come true, everyone," an emotional Burke said after winning the giant music talent show.
Her debut single, "Hallelujah", is now a near-certainty to become the Christmas number one.

Hi i.Tunes, thanks so much for the upload, I'm gonna buy the cd when it comes out this week, I was just too impatient to wait cos this is one of my very favourite songs. I love the version by Rufus Wainright, so gorgeous!
Alexandra blew me away when singing this song, don't get me wrong I thought JLS did a beautiful rendition but I think a single voice, then the choir made it more powerful and haunting. Did you see the lead singer from JLS, he was so moved by even singing the song just as Alexandra was.
Congrats to her and Cheryl for a well-deserved win, commiserations to JLS, they are gonna have a great career ahead of them!
